I fell head over heels with photography when I experimented in the darkroom film studio at 15 years old and have been pursuing it ever since! I grew up in the Houston, Texas area (Cypress to be exact) and moved to College Station, Texas to pursue my Communication Degree from Texas A&M University (WHOOP). I graduated in 2023 and stuck around College Station to work in ministry, pursue photography, and stay connected to the church family I built while in college. Besides photography, I love Jesus, dogs, collecting vintage cameras, diet coke, a niche video essay on YouTube, hosting dinner parties, traveling, and staying up late for a competitive board game night!
Photography has always been in my life. My mom would dress my sister and I up for fun photoshoots on random weekdays in our backyard. My grandfather had a dark room in his house and practiced in a studio in Oklahoma. My older sister experimented and I got to observe, and sometimes model for, her craft. I started my own journey by taking photography classes in high school. I learned how to make my own barebones box-camera, shoot and develop film, play with prints in the darkroom, and digitally manipulate the images after. It truly was my safe space and creative calling. I learned foundational photography techniques from lighting and composition to the “one shot” mentality of capturing film. I won various awards and was recognized for my pieces and portfolio before graduating high school in 2020. You can browse them below!
